Canada lynx inhabit snow-laden forests of North America where they are specialized for off-trail winter travel and preying on snowshoe hares. My research concerns the movements and behavior of lynx by tracking them on the ground and with GPS collars.
Snowshoe hares influence forest succession through herbivory and serve as prey for many mammals and raptors in the boreal forest. My research concerns the movements, survival, and habitat use of hares by tracking them with GPS and radio collars.
